0:00 Everyone you've booked in, with their details, the people you deal with, the addresses their bins have gone to, and their full job history.
0:10 Open Customers from the menu on the left. Some businesses see it as Customers and Sites.
0:18 You never add a customer here. They appear on their own once you book them a job, and everything they've booked is tied together by their phone number.
0:28 Customers are listed A to Z, like the contacts on your phone, with how many jobs each one has. Click a letter to fold it away.
0:38 To find someone, type part of their name, phone number or suburb, then click them to open their card.
0:46 Their card shows their phone, address and email, how many jobs they've had, and when their last one was. The phone button rings them.
0:57 Their address is their own office or home. It's kept separate from where their bins go, because a builder's office is rarely where the bin ends up.
1:07 Contacts are the people you deal with there, like a site manager. Press Add a contact, fill in their name, role and phone, and press Add. When you book a job, pick them as the site contact, and the driver rings them instead of head office.
1:25 Main contact marks one person as the main contact, and the bin icon removes someone. Each contact saves on its own, so you can update one mid phone call.
1:37 Sites lists every address they've had a bin at, with how many jobs and when the last one was.
1:45 And Job history has every job they've ever had. Click one to open it.
1:51 To fix their details, press the pencil. Change their name, phone, email or address, and press Save changes. Before you save, it tells you exactly what will change, like the name being updated on every one of their jobs. Some businesses also set their invoice due terms here. Nothing is ever sent to the customer.
2:15 Some businesses also have a Sites tab, with every address you've had a bin at. Click a site to see its whole story.
2:24 It shows the customer, how many jobs there have been, since when, and whether a bin's on site right now. Book here starts a new hire at that address, and Book changeover swaps the bin that's there.
2:39 Job report PDF downloads a printable report of every visit at this site, with your logo and the prices. Pick the month first. It's handy for a builder who wants a statement for one job.
2:54 With Xero connected, some businesses can invoice a site's whole month in one go. Untick anything you don't want on it, check the total and the due date, and press Create draft in Xero. A job that's already been invoiced can't be ticked, so nothing's billed twice.
3:13 Underneath is every visit to the site. The date, what was done, the bin, the driver, whether it's been invoiced, and the price.
3:24 That's customers and sites, and that's every office video. Next, setting up your business in Settings.
