0:00 Giving the day's jobs to your drivers. Dispatch shows every delivery and pickup for one day, split into each driver's run, in the order they'll do them.
0:11 Open Dispatch from the menu on the left. It opens on today.
0:17 The arrows at the top right move a day back or forward. Click the date to jump to any day on a calendar, and Today brings you back.
0:28 Underneath, a red dot tells you how many jobs still need a driver. It turns green once everything's allocated. Live means the board keeps itself up to date, so you never need to refresh it.
0:43 The legend explains the markers on each stop. Green going up is a delivery, blue coming down is a pickup, the two way arrow is a changeover, and grey is a relocate. Anything red is overdue.
1:00 Jobs with no driver yet wait in Unassigned orders at the top.
1:05 Below that, each driver has a column. Their name, how many stops they've done, and a bar that fills as they work through the day.
1:15 Each stop shows the address, the bin size and waste, the time if one's been set, and whether it's to do, done or overdue. A pickup whose bin hasn't gone out yet says Not delivered yet. If a driver couldn't complete a stop, it's marked in red with their reason.
1:35 Click any address to open the full job.
1:39 To give a job to a driver, press the arrows button on the right of the stop, and pick who's doing it. It moves into their run straight away.
1:49 To change the order of a run, use the small up and down arrows beside a stop. The driver's phone shows the same order.
1:59 Made a mistake? Undo puts back your last change, and Redo does it again. It remembers your last twenty changes while you're on the page.
2:10 Hover over a stop to navigate, call or text from it. On a phone or tablet, press the three dots instead.
2:19 You can leave a note for a driver's day. Press note for this run, type anything they should know, like a gate code or the order to do things in, and save. It shows at the top of their run.
2:32 If you've set up your trucks, pick which truck each driver is taking from the list under their name.
2:40 Dispatch then works out the loads. It tells you how many loads the run is, and warns you in amber if a bin won't fit on that truck.
2:50 Where the driver needs to go back to the yard to reload, or drop a full bin, it shows between the stops. Add your own with plus reload, take one away with the cross, and choose where a full bin goes with plus unload.
3:05 Get drive times measures every drive in the day, yard to yard, and shows the minutes between stops. It asks you first, then saves the times.
3:17 Some businesses can also block a driver out, for the whole day, a morning or an afternoon. Any stops that clash are flagged, so you can move them.
3:28 And if your big truck is off the road for a day, some businesses have a switch beside Undo to mark it. Every job that needs it gets a warning.
3:39 That's your day planned. Next, booking a changeover.
